Kettlebell Beginner Workshop (2 hours)
The Beginner Workshop is geared toward the absolute Kettlebell beginner. Participants will learn proper form and technique with an emphasis on safety. The beginner workshop will prepare participants for more advanced classes and personal Kettlebell training sessions. What do I bring?Just bring yourself and any food that you may require. We will serve a light snack of fruit and snack bars.
What can I expect at a 2 hour workshop?First we will warm up with some joint mobility drills. We will then proceed to teaching the basic Kettlebell skills and maneuvers. We will have a few scheduled breaks for snacks and to use the restroom. At the end, we will ask you to fill out a workshop evaluation in exchange for a free T-shirt.
What will I learn?We will be teaching basic Kettlebell skills including the:
- Power Breathing Technique using the "Power Breathing Crunch"
- Principles of Full Body Tension using "The Plank"
- How to engage the glutes and improve hip flexibility with
the "Kettlebell Deadlift" - How to lock down your lats with the "Kettlebell Row"
- Shoulder stability, hip extension and allover strength with "The Turkish Getup"
- Explosive power and a cardio blast with the star of the kettlebell
genre "The Swing"
We will be teaching these skills for introductory purposes and basic understanding of the maneuvers. Proficiency comes with practice.
What will you provide?We will provide workout towels, water, Kettlebells, and light snacks.
What should I wear?Wear loose, comfortable workout attire. Because of the nature of some exercises, short-shorts are not recommended. Most important, Kettlebell exercises are performed either barefoot, stocking feet, or flat shoes such as Converse “Chuck Taylors” or Rocket Dogs. No athletic shoes designed for aerobics, running, etc. If your shoes are deemed inappropriate, we will ask you to remove them. Due to the coastal location of Perfect Fit USA, the weather can sometimes be cool. Be prepared by dressing in layers.

Will I be able to purchase a Kettlebell the day of the workshop?Yes! We will have various sizes of Kettlebells to purchase at special workshop day discount.
Miscellaneous information:- In addition to your free T-shirt for completing our short evaluation form, we will have men’s and women’s Perfect Fit USA T-shirts for sale.
- During the workshop, silence your cell phones and please no talking or texting. Breaks will be provided for such things.
